The hotel I stayed in Frankfurt: (Hotel maigau)

ICE 78: Frankfurt to Hamburg (to Lübeck) |

Why I drawn like these boring things? Because I did them for...for material
of manga. Could be--might be, maybe possible. Who knows? Well, of course
one of the main reason is killing time.
I took many photos, but my compact digital camera can't afford various
angles of object, no fish-eye lens, no wide-angle lens, for instance--I'm
pleased with mu camera because of the smallness, though. Easy to bring
anywhere. Still, you see, how humans' eye is great...!

The compartment was getting colder and colder. Here, I mean in Europe,
some people stay in short sleeves even they had jacket when others put
on it. You hardly see like that guys in Japan. *laughter* |

For some reason, the female conductors I saw were all plump a bit. Is this just happen to...? :)
I had several conductors during one train ride, but never been checked
twice. Amazing ! :D |

Lübeck |
I booked a hotel through Town's Tourist Information. Then went to the hotel
for check-in...BUT |

Arrived the hotel, at PM 16:00. Ringed the door bell. ...no answer. Of
course the door was locked. What should I do? |
 |

Went to the backside of the hotel,
there was a unlooked door. |
|

So I entered. But no answer meant there was no one, at least no hotel staff.
When I wondered what should I do, someone came in from outside. He was
one of guests. According to him, the reception was closed until 18:00.
WHAT??? |
 |
He offered to keep my luggage in his room for a while.
Me? Went back to center to have sightseeing!
 |
|
I was always lucky just a little bit. Happened to get someone when you
happened to be able to get in, and the guy spoke English, and the person
was kind. How lucky I am! Still, you know, just a little I say. If I was
really lucky enough, I would have been in such trouble in first place! |

I visited three museums in the town: Burgkloster, Buddenbrooks' house and
TheaterFiguren Museum |
Burgkloster(Cloister Museum?)
Just came across and popped in. But interesting museum. And...no one there!!
*laugh* The staffs are friendly and helpful than famous tourist attraction.
;) |
 |
Buddenbrooks' house |
 |
I haven't read Thomas Mann's Books except for "Tonio Kroger" and hardly know about this
great author.
But this place is famous tourist attraction, should have visited.
Anyway, I enjoyed some of the exhibitions and the guards kindly printed
some English notes for me-- I don't know why--because he was so kind or
I looked like a voracious student, maybe. *laughter* |

TheaterFigurenMuseum |
Lovely building and lovely exhibition.
I was surprised when I saw Bunraku(Japanese doll--for traditional theater play) , I'd never expected. The dolls are literally collected from all over the world.

We had a chat, and I draw something for her guestbook..
What a chatter box I was!
If --by any chance --you have a chance to be there,
ask her and check it. ;) Not Momoko, though.

I love town walking. You also might have some interesting meetings during that, not only lovely site. This time, I saw across a building has Arabic alphabet(maybe), then popped in from curiosity--there was a guy and he gave me a little tour for the prayer place(Mosque?)

He--and his company (were Turkish)--didn't speak English, neither Japanese
of course, and I was totally hopeless about Germany. Consequently our communication
was disaster, but still enjoyable. Human to human, you can manage it, somehow...
Still, you'd definitely better to learn the local language where you go to, I really think so. ^^;; |
