Basics
Tools How to start Making manga

Here is standard way to draw manga. I indicate Japanese (manga-ka jargon) in Italics.

Pencil drawing (Shita-gaki)

Complete composition of a flame and make a preliminary sketch with pencil.
Actually, when you draw manga you are supposed to finish all compositions (all pages), though. ^^;
Make lines again and again, until you get your ideal one!

At first, you should complete characters' pencil drawing. About background,
you can leave them rough sketch.

Inking (Pen-ire)
Go over the pencil drawing of characters in Ink.(Omosen)
Pen, Marker or line-pen, everything will be ok, that's your choice.
In this case, I draw with G-pen, except for girl's eye, eyeblaw and hair
(I did them with maru-pen).

Note! It's ok if the line run over. When you did on the wrong line, re-draw it.
Don't be afraid failure. Draw vivid line. You can erase wrong lines with white ink, later.

Some people trace the pencil drawing (on a light box) on another paper, drawing the lines you want to keep. With that, you can keep the paper clear and omit erase with an eraser. But I don't do this style because I can't keep the impression of pencil drawings in this way. (Mind you, it's just in my case.)

Pencil drawing/Background (Back)

Take heed of perspective. It gives your drawing sense of reality

Of course, it's ok that you ink after finishing all pencil works (characters and backgrounds).
Actually, I sometimes do that, it depends on situation.

Erasing (Keshigomu-kake)
After pen work, erase the pencil drawing with an eraser.

Painting black parts (Beta, Beta-ire)
Just paint--but be careful! The fine parts should be painted with line-pen or pen.(If you get used to painting with a blush, you can do all parts with it easily.)

Shining-hair (Teri-beta)

Draw streamers of hair with blue as guides.

Mind you, I draw the right image with deep blue so that you see the lines creally. But deep blue lines show when you make copies. Use light blue.
You might need to a lot of practice....It's not easy work. I always have trouble with it ! ^^;; Paint fine parts (edges) with pen or fine blush. Then lay out the shape with white ink.

White Inking (White; Howaito)
Erase wrong lines, ink smudges--a kind of part what I show in bellow image with white ink.
Use fine blush, Japanese"Menso-hude" is best.

Basically, the drawing has been done, finished. But one omre....
