Introduction

This manga is the first original series I ran in a monthly magazine, "Pyon-pyon". (The magazine was discontinued. )

To tell the truth, this work makes me feel embarrassing with the poor skill. Because it was my first original series, I didn't know anything! Though it was very old work, surprisingly there are some people e-mailed me "I want to read it again, is it possible? I really loved the manga, and I've loved it even now !" Unfortunately the series wasn't released into volumes. So, they ask me to publish the manga privately, as "dojin-shi". So far, there is no way to get the dojin-shi from overseas, but you can read about it here.


　First, they(editors) told me that they were thinking a manga for girls which looked like "Lupin The Third". At that time I was very new, so I never thought to be against them. In addition to I liked "Lupin The Third"! I agree them. But...

They gave (forced?) me the baseline of the story. "This is the story about sisters who were running a smart coffee shop or a boutique. But they were not ordinary girls but "phantom thief". Their targets were something beautiful, such as paintings and gems. A young detective who chased them was a regular costumer of their coffee shop, and he loved a heroin."
....Hum??? "Lupin the tired"? It's more like "Cat's Eye"!! (Tukasa Hojo's manga)

　I didn't think I could draw a boutique very well( It was too much trouble!!), so I chose a coffee house. I knew it made the manga more similar with Cat's Eye... So It was not surprising for me that I got a lot of blaming mail from Hojyo Tukasa's fans.^^;; After a couple of month--maybe it's because I cut the part of Cat's Eye-like little by little-- I had come to get no such mails anymore, though.

　You know, I draw this manga long long ago. I can't say it was good work--because the skill was really POOR !! I can't believe it!! ( The beginning of Shinku-chitai was worse than this, though.^^;;) The above image is (how full checked they are!!!) the notice cut in early time. Oooh...*_* The right image is the latter one. I think it's better, at least a little bit...

Anyway, I am ashamed of myself, how silly and loud this costume was! Editors told me that I should design it very loud because it was the manga for a little girls. Humm...
