MIZUKI Part1From DMP(Digital Manga Publishing) /eManga

This short series was drawn for Chao summer special issues, just after Wedding Peach. Later, (much later^^;) the 2 episodes are collected in Nao Yazawa Collection vol.1 (German edition Only). Now, it is available on eManga in English.

To tell the truth, when the edditor asked me manga like Wedding Peach for summer special issues, I was off a bit. "You want another magical transformation? We've just finished one" But because this was a short-term plan, I couod make the whole story and situation freely (easygoingly??). I enjoyed it. Yes, it's very short, but I like the characters - espcially the boy, Sekito. ...Another Yosuke, maybe. One of my fan had told me that Tetsu, the hero of Shinku-Chitai, was like tough Yosuke. Sounds all my male characters(heroes) are not different very much. -.- I wonder how you feel when you read this...

A new manga series I'm working right now. The first volume (manga 68 pages) will be released in May 20011 from DMP.
A story about Ai & Kai, 2 vampires and other people - Sayaka, the daughter of Kai's host family, Takeshi, a boy who loves Sayaka since their childhood...
Is Kai also like Yosuke? I don't know, you check it by yourself. ^^;

This manga is the first one I draw for English readers. It was not easy because I'm not used to Western style. Besides, I had to paint all pages!! @_@ Anyway, I enjoyed it (it was quite tough work, though). So, now your turn! I hope you enjoy this story! ^^

The story :Mizuki is a 14-year-old girl. She wanted to live as a ordinary girl, but her destiny didn't give her such a life. Because she is descended from Oni(monster) called by the name of "Mizuki", she must fight against evil monsters in cooperation with Sekito who has the power which seals the Monsters.

Itadaki! Panther
It's my very first manga which I run monthly manga magazine. Nevertheless it was long long ago, I still get some mail it say "Nao Yazawa, by any chance, are you the author of 'Itadaki Panther'? Is it possible to get it? I want to re-read it because I don't have any" I was really impressed that they still remember and love it, because they were very little children when they read it. (Now they are mature person...oh, well *_*)

So, I decided to make them a book as personal comics, like this.

Shinku-Chitai 1 - 12 (Completed)
The story : Two big earthquakes and unknown pestilence ruined the Kanto region. There were no rescue activities from the outside. Then ... the area was isolated by Japanese Government.
Tetsu, he was a 12-year-old boy and one of the surviving children. He became the leader of them, and they fought to survive in the Kanto region which turned into the lawless district. What happened to the outside of the Kanto district? Why did nobody come here to help them? What was this disease? When he lost his friend one after another, he determined to go to outside from the Kanto district to get the truth. Now, in vol.12, Tetsu is 18 years old.

This is non-commercial manga, "dojinshi". I'm drawing it as a hobby. But luckily, EMA was interested with this series, and it is running in monthly magazine Manga Power, in Germany. *Blush* ,<- the magazine finished ages ago. ><

This book is "Dojin-shi", too. This book has 2 short stories. I had entered Shogakukan's competitions for armatures with them. So why did I make this book? Because I failed, of course.

Actually I took long time to draw the works, so I don't want to throw them away. You might get someone who said "I like your work"...right?

Anyway, I put some pics up here, you can see how my skill was terrible. Maybe it will encourage you. *laugh*

Why "Mandrill" ?
Mandorill is the name of group composed of Yazawa Nao and Tachibana Mami. We made it to produce the parody manga of Wedding Peach. The name came from Frill(FURIL). Frill reminded us of Drill, and then---Mandrill came! *laugh*
